WHO WE ARE
Dr. Tsoi specializes in diagnostic, preventative and interventional cardiology. Dr. Tsoi's primary hospital practice is at Washington Hospital in Fremont, Ca. where he has been the Chair of the Cardiology Section from 2003 to 2009. He has been Co-director for the Critical Care Unit at Washington Hospital starting in 2009. Presently he is serving as Chief of Staff - elect and will become Chief of Staff of Washington Hospital in July 2017. He serves on numerous hospital committees and projects including Lean project, Epic physician's steeirng, cardiac catheterization lab operations, clinical evaluation committee and internal medicine committee. He has been in practice in Fremont since 1990.
SPECIALTIES
Dr. Tsoi specializes in diagnostic, preventative and interventional cardiology. Non-invasive testing is performed in the office including: treadmill stress testing, echo stress testing, dobutamine stress echocardiology, 2D/color doppler echocardiography, Holter monitoring, thoracic bioimpedance measurements, and carotid doppler studies. Invasive work is performed at Washington Hospital (or St. Rose Hospital for certain insurance plans) including diagnostic catheterizations, interventional revascularization procedures (including angioplasty and placement of both regular and drug eluting stents), pacemaker insertions and cardioversions. Dr.Tsoi also performs transesophageal echocardiography at Washington Hospital.
TRAINING
Dr. Tsoi did his undergraduate training at the University of California, Berkeley where he received a degree in Physiology with honors. He did his medical training and internal medicine residency at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Pacific Presbyterian Medical Center in San Francisco in 1990. Since then he has been practicing in Fremont, Ca.
